Maytag Stackable Washer Dryer Troubleshooting

Maytag stackable washer dryer is durable, affordable and easy to use. There can be some problems from time to time, as would be the case with any other washer or dryer of any brand in the world. Maytag is ideal for small utility areas or compact apartments due to their reasonable size. The simple operation also makes matters convenient and the problems simpler. However, there could be some complications. Before you call your Maytag technician for service and maintenance, possible repairs or replacement of parts, you should conduct a thorough check of the washer dryer. Here are a few steps you can take for Maytag stackable washer dryer troubleshooting.

Check for Power

Ensure that your Maytag stackable washer dryer is plugged into a three-prong electrical outlet. The outlet must be grounded or earthed. Do not have an extension cord or any kind of spike board and its variant to connect the washer dryer. The appliance requires a steady supply of power that fluctuating voltage or shared voltage will never assure. Do not use power outlets that don’t have the neutral prong earthed or grounded.

Check Water Supply

Once you have ensured there is enough power and a steady supply of it, you should check the supply of water. Check the water inflow and if it is filling up the washer dryer. If not, then check the hoses, the faucets, the inlet valves, and the washer-dryer to look for dirt, blockage or any leak. Leaking hoses, insufficient water supply from the faucets, worn out or damaged inlet valves and one or more leaks in any part of the closed system and the appliance can prevent water from filling up enough. You should ensure the hoses are straightened and don’t have any bends or kinks preventing water inflow.

Check Drain Pipe

Check the drain pipe if there is any leak. Look for clogs in the sink. Get rid of clogs and other blockages, repair the leaks or replace the hoses to ensure the washer-dryer works as it should. There can be drainage issues at times which will create a flushing problem. Regular cleaning and preventive maintenance or servicing done by you and not a technician should be enough to ensure smooth operation.

Overloading

Some problems may occur because of overloading. Always ensure you have even distribution of the load and do not have an excessive load for the washer-dryer. Don’t throw in any loose hard objects like coins or anything metallic, rocks or even plastic toys as they could make noise and may damage the appliance.
