Ariston Washing Machine Troubleshooting

If you are the owner of an Ariston Washing machine and are having problems with it, we have come up with some possible solutions that you might want to try before calling a technician to come out. Often, trying to do it yourself can save you a good bit of money.

Check for Power

It seems like a no brainer but, first, you want to check the power supply to your machine. Sometimes vibration from the spin cycle could possibly cause the plug to get knocked loose a bit. You will also want to check your breaker to make sure it has not flipped for some reason.

Spin Cycle Not Working

If you find that the spin cycle is not working, there are a few things that you need to check for. The Ariston Washing machines have an easy iron button. If this button is pressed, the spin cycle will run at a much lower speed and you may not think it is spinning as it should. Something else to consider is that the water must drain out of the cylinder before the spin cycle begins. If the pump or hose is clogged, the water will not drain and will not let the spin cycle activate. Another easy thing to check is the balance of your load. If your load if off-balance, the machine will not allow the spin cycle to activate. All of this is very simple fixes should they be the issue.

Noisy When Operating

Some consumers may find that their wash cycles are a bit on the noisier side. In order for your machine to operate quietly, it must be on a level, smooth surface. Also, upon installation, you will find tub packing screws located at the back of the machine. This must be removed. Another thing to check is to make sure that the drum area is free of foreign objects or debris. Again, these are all easy things to check for and can save you a ton of money when it comes to a service call.

Detergent Residue

If you happen to notice that there is a detergent residue left behind on your clothes, this could be due to using too much detergent. It could also be due to a water hardness issue within your home. This is something that can be tested with an at-home kit.

It is strongly suggested that you take the time to do some at-home troubleshooting before calling a technician. Of course, some problems will not be able to be fixed by the consumer, but it is certainly worth a try!
