Jenn Air Dishwasher Troubleshooting

1. Does not run, stops during cycle.
Restart your cycle and check if there is any blockage at the back of your dishwasher. If the problem persists, disconnect your machine from electricity and check if the fuse or circuit breaker has tripped. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. Check if the water shut off valve is installed correctly and turned on.

2. Detergent remains in the machine or tablet remains on the bottom of the tub.
Check for any blockage at the detergent dispenser and remove it. Resume your cycle.

3. Cycle runs too long.
Cycles can run up to 3 hours. Check if the water heater is set to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. If the heater is set lower, adjust it accordingly as lower heat levels can prolong washing cycles.

4. Dishwasher not drying.
Make sure you have properly loaded the machine. Use rinse aid with Precision Dry/Precision Dry+ for proper drying.

5. Dishwasher won’t fill.
Check if the water is turned on to the machine. Check the float for any clogs. Look for suds in the dishwasher.

6. Water won’t drain.
In case your machine is connected to a food waste disposer, always run the disposer before starting up your cycle to clear any possible clogs in your system. Check the drain hose for kinks or possible clogs and remove them.

7. White residue.
Hard water can cause damage to your machine and affect your cleaning. Check both filters and clean them before restarting your cycle. Use water softener additive in the case of hard water.

8. Strange odor.
Use 2 cups of white vinegar to run a cleaning cycle and a normal cycle with Heat Dry option disabled. Do not use a detergent.

9. My dishwasher is noisy.
Make sure your machine is installed properly and leveled. Different sounds are normal during a cycle, while incorrect installation can enhance noise levels.

10. Food soils remain on dishes.
Improper loading can affect the washing performance. Readjust your load. If the problem persists, check your filters and clean them. Make sure that the water’s temperature is at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

11. Suds in dishwasher.
In case the machine detects suds it may not operate properly. Use the correct type and amount of detergent.

12. The machine did not sanitize.
The load was not sanitized as the final step of your cycle was interrupted. Make sure, that the incoming water’s temperature is at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
