However, it shouldn’t be a problem these days because there are many ways in which you can deal with this problem at home. In fact, you can use inexpensive materials to address this condition, particularly in the bathroom. Here are some easy steps for you to follow.

How to Kill Mold in Shower

1. Baking Soda Mixture

There are cost-effective cleaning agents that can remove mold in the bathroom. This can be done with the use of a combination of soap, hot water, and baking soda. This is because baking soda is a cheaper and gentler cleaning agent compared to other products made of harmful chemicals.

You just need to use a teaspoon of liquid soap, a cup of baking soda, and some essential oils like rosemary, citrus, and lavender. Simply use a sufficient amount of water to create a paste.

2. Using Bleach Solution

You need to mix a solution that should contain 2 parts of water and 1 part of bleach. Transfer this mixture into a spray bottle. Then, you have to spray the area containing the bleach solution and allow this to dry.

Try to repeat the procedure twice before you scrub it with brush. You have to rinse and repeat if needed until the mold will disappear. If you can’t remove all the mold, you just need to replace the grout or caulk.

3. Using Vinegar Solution

Mixing a generous amount of vinegar should be able to provide a cleaning solution for removing mold. Simply use mild white vinegar and put it in a spray bottle. This gesture should make the portion that you spray on a very harmful place for mold. Just don’t dilute the vinegar when you place it into the bottle. This is because its full strength should be very effective for mold buildup. The procedure is as follows.

You can use the vinegar from the spray bottle by spraying it onto surfaces that are moldy. Then, you have to wait for 1 hour. You can also allow air from the bathroom to go out from the bathroom. After 1 hour has passed, you have to clean the area with hot water and dry the surface using a towel.

Take note that damp surfaces should be more prone to mold growth. That is the reason why it is important to wipe the location completely. Vinegar can be useful to prevent mold outbreaks. So, before this can happen, using vinegar should be essential to put an end of the mold problem in your bathroom.

If you want to use this for preventive purposes, you just have to spray a little amount of white vinegar onto an area prone to mold growth. By doing this, you will be guaranteed of a mold-free bathroom because mold will surely have a hard time to multiply. This will even be a lot practical as you don’t have to spend your precious time and money removing it in the first place.
